Creative Multimedia ; The New Generation of Art

Creative Multimedia was a topic given to think about . Mind map had been done to show what we get from Creative Multimedia . As we know Multimedia is media and content that uses a combination of different content forms. The term is used in contrast to media which only use traditional forms of printed or hand-produced material. Multimedia includes a combination of text, audio, still images, animation, video, and interactivity content forms.After knowing what does Multimedia mean ; how do we define creative ? Creative is a new idea or a new way of doing things. Creativity is the ability to think up and design new inventions, produce works of art, solve problems in new ways, or develop an idea based on an original, novel, or unconventional approach. Creativity is the ability to see something in a new way, to see and solve problems no one else may know exists, and to engage in mental and physical experiences that are new, unique, or different. Creativity is a critical aspect of a person's life. From Knowing the meaning and understand the terms of Multimedia and Creative . We get a lot of idea from the topic creative multimedia . For example Arts , Technology , Creativity , Faculty of Creative Multimedia and etc . From those idea we gathered . We have decided to take Art as the main topic .
After much of discussion , we have decided Art as our topic . Why do we choose art ? Well very simple as the student of the Faculty of Creative Multimedia art is everything to us . We see art everywhere . What does art define as ; art is use of skill and imagination . With this skill and imagination it creates an object , environment or experience that can be shared with others . Beside having imagination and skills ; art describe several things . It is a study of creative skills , process of using it and how audience react and experience with the creative skills . Art is not an object or something that has creativity and beauty on it , the true value of art can generate strong emotions ; every piece of art tells a story .

In art there are multiple genre ; for example minimalism , contemporary art , digital painting , abstract , fine art , fashion , design and architecture . Design is considered applied art . Applied art is the application of design and aesthetics to objects of functions and everyday use .A lot of people out there thought that contemporary art is something new , but the truth is it has been created since 1970. Minimalism has been used as a trend whereby the object is reduced to its necessary elements . Fashion is consider an art . Fashion means clothing generally and the study of it . In fashion they have their own genre . With all this genres , it gives artist and designers a brand new idea ; something fresh for the audience to adore . To give audience a fresh piece of art , artist and designer tend to collaborate different genre together . A great example can be seen is in the fashion industry , the late Alexander McQueen , has collaborated abstract art into his fashion line with symmetrical design . Besides having art added into fashion , architecture too uses art to give a fresh new design . For example minimalism , architect uses minimalism to convey the meaning of simplicity . Minimalism is highly used in the architecture industry for it expresses the basic elements of an object the use of lines and planes organized in very particular manner .

Everything we see or do relates to art , the typography in newspaper or magazine is an art , the bulding around us is an art , the clothes we wear is an art . Art is so important that everything we do and use is an art . How do we relate art in Creative Multimedia . Art in creative . Creativity is the thinking of a designer or an artist , everything in this world is an art , when the stuff you think is beautiful there is where creative comes in , creativity is the discover of new ideas or concepts , or new associations of the existing ideas or concepts . Creative is both originality and appropriateness . Art in multimedia , everything designer uses “multimedia” to create their art work . The term multimedia applies in all the application that is available today , such as adobe creative suite , corel painting , autocad , autodesk and etc . With all this applications designer and artist are able to do anything . They can create abstract arts using softwares , they can merge fine art with abstract arts using softwares . Designer and artist can even use music to add-on to their artwork . It is clear that Creative Multimedia are co-related with art .

In conclusion art is just like a palate of colour , it helps to colour the world . The world needs improvement , art does not only beautify the place it also delivers message . A message that tells the world what art truly mean . Creative Multimedia and Art is a way to deliver the message . It is how we try to combine genres , to produce an art work that gives a fresh idea on how does art can strongly relates with creative multimedia . That is how we define Art in the new generation .

Both of this sketches are pure minimalist with the concept of using line and shapes , it is random

Personal Reflection on Juxtaposition

Well for my own knowledge , Juxtaposition is a comparison between two different objects or texts to have a synonymous contrast . It a way for us to stimulate our creativity , the way we think , the way we apply words and objects and also to identify the similarities or differences in an object or text . After doing some research through the net and book , Juxtaposition does bring benefits to all of us . Besides that , billboard advertisement , pamphlets and etc . I get to understand more about Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition

Today lectures was given by , Ms Tasya . The topic of the day is JUXTAPOSITION . What i have learn after the lecture is that . Juxtaposition is an act of putting two variables , for comparison . To know more about Juxtaposition , i went through wikipedia , in there it is said that Juxtaposition is synonymous with contrast of two objects or texts that oppose one another . In Juxtaposition there it is separated into two kind , Juxtaposition and Random Juxtaposition .

Like what i had mention Juxtapostion means synonyms with contrast of two opposing objects or texts . Juxtaposition is used in further application in developing storyline or character in order to create opposing emotions , abstract concepts character values or images .

In Random Juxtaposition it is technical comparison applied on random parallel objects to stimulate creativity .

My Own Reflection on Mind Map and Stereotype

After so many years of using Mind Map as a source of gaining ideas and creativity . To me it is very useful and it is advisable to use mind map all the time , for it can stimulate our brain to generate more ideas and it is easy for us to write down those important point . Mind Map are simple , instead of memorizing all the long notes and etc we can use mind map it save time and it works more efficiently .

Stereotype are widely spread throughout the world , it is generalized as a group of people with thoughts or perception that are based of unproven assumptions . Although most of the time stereotype are negatives , but there is positive side of it that are influential .

In Mind Map there are 2 categories Logical Mind Map and Associated Mind Map . In order to know more about both of this . One must understand the meaning and concept of stereotype .

Logical Mind Map is said to be a Stereotype mind map , for what is thought and written down in mind map form is describing the title of the mind map . The title of a Logical Mind Map are ones perception it can be true and it can be untrue . Logical Mind Map is what ones think of and how much the person is exposed to stereotype .

As for Associated Mind Map , is form of mind map that needs alot of thinking . It links the keywords but sometimes those particular words are not related . In Associated Mind Map , imagination is important for how one link the words to the title . It is the persons imagination , it is how they imagine and how do they wan to link the particular key words with the title . Associated Mind Map is the way of generating creativity

Logical Mind Map

Mind Map: is a new method of generating ideas or taking notes . It is done in a way that it looks like a picture , that way it encourage one to brainstorming and stimulate to one's mind . Mind map applied to represent ideas or other items that is arranged around a specific key word , idea or concept .

Logical Mind Map : is said to be a stereotype mind map .

Associated Min Map : Through the linkage of words it does generate similarities but it seems no connection .

Before knowing what does Logical Mind Map are all about . We were asked to do a research on " stereotype" . The concept of Stereotype is about categorizing or labelling a specific group or individuals . Different disciplines give different accounts of how stereotype develop . Stereotype can be positive or negative but somehow it goes into the negative part . It is an assumption of unproven perception .


To build a Logical Mind Map
1. Subject (Title) or idea are placed in the middle

2. Make sure the word in the mind map are the most dominant compare to the others

3. Ensure the main category for the subject is suitable and uses different colour and images for different categories to have a clearer view on it

5. Graphical images are advisable to be used on the mind map to be more attractive

6. Small ideas and categories are branching out from the main idea which is the subject( title) loacted in the middle of the mind map .

Novelty , Innovation and Invention

The definition of Novelty , Innovation and Invention . I had learn the true meaning of it during Mr Mustafa's Lecture .

Novelty

The definition for novelty is something that shows the quality , the creativity of something New , Original and Unusual .

Innovation

Definition for innovation is the same as creativity , something that is created through the thoughts of creativity that will bring transformation to the world , an object or product that lessen the burden of a persons life .

Invention

Definition of invention is inventing something , for example computers , mobile phones , Pda's and etc . those are inventions



Novelty is something new , it doesnt matter what it is . It can be technology , it can be something we use everyday , it is just anything . To me novelty are important in our household equipment . For example below with great fresh design we can have a brand new look for our house .

A side table shaped like a puzzle , with this design i can change the formation of , the way to place it , it is creative and usable .

Besides that in the principle of novelty , it does not have to be complicated , it can also be simple and creative . I have come around this website http://freshome.com . The creativity of this designers is that they are able to come out with ideas that will blow your mind . Their level of creativity is just beyond my imagination . Though creativity are in everyone , but how the person portray or generate their creativity is depends on the persons thinking and how they look in things .

This is a bedroom in a box , in just one small box everything is there , look how easy and neat the design is , it is convenient and easy to unpack and pack . This is an excellent product for people who move around alot and does not have much things with them .

Innovation is a creation that is created to make a person life easy , lessen the burden of a person or even save the world . To create such product a person must have a creative and innovative mind . For example microsoft have created a new teachnology , they name it Microsoft Surface . This multitasking touchscreen table have the capability to do anything that a computer can , but with better interface , better way of interaction and it is way easier to use . To think of such innovative design , one must know what the future wants , how easy the thing works and how accurate it functions . In Innovation there is a touch of novelty , for instance Apple iPhone it is a brand new technology that move the world into a new level of touchscreen phones . Now users does not need to use stylus to function the phone , and it is friendly user . Millions of applications are available in the net to enhance the iPhone capability . By looking at the technology we have today , innovation have brought us to a brand new world .
